Apple Inc. on Tuesday debuted a new lineup of its iPhone and iPod Touch gadgets with double the memory and a higher price.
Cupertino-based Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) new iPhone features 16 gigabytes of memory and costs about $499. The earlier version, at 8 GB, cost about $100 less.
The new iPod Touch has 32 GB of memory and also costs $499. Earlier versions sold for $399 and $299.
Apple said the new models have updated software with a maps application. Users can watch movies on them through the iTunes movie rental service.
